Clearly inspired by the Final Fantasy theme, Play ‘N Go have decided to take advantage of the huge franchise and have created their Cloud Quest slot game.
The brilliant themes that the game adopts and employs are a delight and many players will be extremely excited when they take to the grid on this particular slot game, which made doing this Cloud Quest slot game review so enjoyable to complete!
Whilst doing our Cloud Quest slot game review, we did uncover that the game could be considered a little more difficult to play/follow compared to other titles that Play ‘N Go have managed to develop over the years. Although played on a grid of 5×5, the slot game is not for those that prefer traditional formats.
Players can actually adopt an approach similar to the game of Tetris, whereby winning combinations can be made by clearing the grid’s symbols line by line. The word ‘Bonus’ appears behind the symbols as they start to disappear.
Players are able to customise their gameplay experience in the Cloud Quest slot game, as there are a number of buttons available on the game panel. The ‘+/-’ buttons can allow players to change the coin size from as little as 0.1 to 10 – with bets available from as little as €0.10 to as high as €40.
Other options available include the ‘Autoplay’ button, therefore allowing players to spin the reels uninterrupted for a set period of time.
As we conducted our Cloud Quest slot game review, we managed to uncover a number of bonus features within the game; something that does not come as a surprise when thinking about other titles that Play ‘N Go have developed over the years.
One of the Cloud Quest bonus features to have been introduced is that rewards are earned on an all-ways-pays system, with a combination of three or more symbols enough to see them disappear. Symbols will not reappear in this round, though, therefore providing players with the chance of clearing the board.
A ‘Wild’ symbol – which is Gold – can appear when other wins are not available, as it provides players with a second chance to clear the board. If the board is cleared, 20,000 coins are awarded.
There are a number of ‘Super Power Bonuses’ also available within the slot game, which are triggered when the meter on the right is filled with a yellow symbol.
All four will provide a free spin, whilst also offering:
- Five of Fortune: All wins in the free spins are multiplied by 5.
- Emblem of Endurance: Every win will see the Wild Symbol remain on the screen.
- Scatter of Success: All symbols during this bonus round will pay as a Scatter would – they do not even need to be touching to payout!
- Mark of Multitude: All winning symbols with this ‘Super Power Bonus’ turn into Wilds.
Cloud Quest slot game bonus features do not end there, though, as there is also a Free Spins bonus. As mentioned earlier in this Cloud Quest game review, the word ‘BONUS’ is behind the grid and appears when symbols start to disappear. If the word is completely revealed, players will randomly receive between five and 20 free spins, whilst there will also be the opportunity to choose one of the three available characters to fight monsters.
This monster game is an additional mini-game within the slot, as players will need to defeat the monster on a classic 3-reel slot. The more monsters you defeat, the higher the value of the wins in the free spins and for every defeated monster, there are 3 additional free spins awarded. If all five are beaten, players will get an instant cash bonus and a multiplier on the amount of free spins still left.
RTP (return to player)
Play ‘N Go’s Cloud Quest slot game has a return to player (RTP) rate of 96.52%, which is rather attractive considering the potential winnings that can be made when all the additional bonus features are taken into account!
