Imperial riches

Asian-themed slot games have always been hugely popular for players, although many tend to follow a Chinese orientation. However, NetEnt have decided to provide us with something different with their Imperial Riches slot game.

Indeed, following a Japanese theme, players will be transported to a garden where they will be able to relax and enjoy a number of vibrant colours as they look to take on the reels. Naturally, we felt incredibly relaxed when doing our Imperial Riches game review and we are sure bettors will feel at ease when playing the game!

Gameplay

NetEnt’s Imperial Riches casino slot game is played on a grid that consists of five reels and three rows. The game has 15 fixed paylines available for players to try and form winning combinations upon. All they need to do is to match three of the same icons to receive a payout.

Whilst there is an Imperial Riches Free Play version available at the top of this page, players can play for real money for as little as €0.15 per spin. Those that like to bet larger amounts may be a little disappointed that they can only place bets as high as €30 per spin, however the wins can still be of great value.

The game includes the ‘Autoplay’ and the ‘Max Bet’ buttons, which help to tailor the gameplay experience. Players are able to set a number of spins to be spun automatically, thus being able to enjoy the action in the Japanese garden by sitting back!

Naturally, there are a number of symbols on the paytable that fit the theme that is trying to be applied. The low-value icons are the red Aces, the green Kings and the blue Queens. These are then followed by the bamboo plant, the golden coins, the golden ingots and the gold koi fish. These fish are the most rewarding as they pay out 1,500x the bet when five appear on a payline!

Feature Bonuses

There are a number of great Imperial Riches bonus features available, which will certainly provide players with everything that they need to enjoy this game as much as possible.

The first of the features that we noticed in our Imperial Riches review was that NetEnt have used their ‘Avalanche’ feature. This is basically a cascading reels feature in which winning combinations will disappear and more icons will be added to the reels in the hope of achieving even more wins.

The red lanterns that appear act as the game’s Scatter icons and these have the ability to trigger the Free Falls free spins bonus game. When three or more of the red lanterns appear, players will be awarded with at least 10 free spins. Four of them will provide players with 15 whereas five will provide 20 free spins. During this feature, all wins are counted as jewels and will unlock the Lucky Pond Bonus game.

This game will see the jewels collected fall into the pond and be eaten by either the Coin Fish or the Bonus Fish. The Coin Fish will provide players with up to 15x their bet, whereas the Bonus Fish will activate the Jackpot Game feature. If this game is triggered, players will then have the chance to win additional prizes and the possibility of one of the five different jackpots available.

If a Coin Fish eats a jewel in the Jackpot Game, plates will receive rewards up to 40x the bet. There are three progressive jackpots that can be won, whilst there are two fixed ones as well. These can be won if one of the Jackpot Fishes eats three of the jewels.

RTP (return to player)

Our Imperial Riches slot game review found that the return to player (RTP) rate stands at 96.88%, which can be considered high. Considering the game is of a medium volatility level as well, wins can be rather frequent!
